The city of Calais, located only 42km from the British coast, is the hottest spot for illegal migration in France. This city port represents the last stage of a long trip across different continents. Mainly coming from Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan and Egypt, the migrants in Calais try to enter in United Kingdom sneaking aboard container trucks with the hope of reaching better conditions of life on the other side. But with the reinforcement of the border by the French and British authorities they have found themselves stranded along the French coast stuck in a limbo. Without documents and job possibilities, their forced permanence in Calais last for several months and the lives of migrants finish to revolve around squalid settlements and ruined buildings in a perpetual cat and mouse hunt between them and the police.
